Primary objective:
Department of Corporate and Digital Development (DCDD) Workforce Capability unit supports instructional design and

development, implementation, promotion, delivery and evaluation of initiatives to drive culture, engagement, learning, and

leadership and capability development strategies for the Northern Territory Government.

Context statement:
As part of the Workforce Capability team, design, develop, facilitate, deliver and evaluate strategic organisational workforce

development initiatives, including essential and statutory learning and development programs to meet client agency requirements

and achieve improved workforce capability outcomes.

Key duties and responsibilities:
1. Undertake research that contributes to the design and development of a range of innovative workforce capability solutions.

2. Contribute to the design and development of contemporary learning and development activities and programs. Coordinate

the delivery of a range of activities and programs to support client agencies.

3. Provide advice and support for workforce capability development programs and initiatives, aligned to relevant client agency

strategic objectives for supporting and developing employees.

4. Manage and organise corporate learning and development programs and activities, including program design, planning,

implementation, coordination and evaluation for a variety of learning mediums including, online, blended and face to face.

5. Prepare a range of correspondence including (but not limited to) memo’s, reports, agenda papers and meeting minutes.

Selection criteria:
Essential:
1. Demonstrated experience in research, design, development, implementation and evaluation of contemporary learning and

development initiatives, including managing appropriate procurement processes.

2. Demonstrated knowledge of instructional design and ability to create engaging and contemporary learning material.

3. Demonstrated ability to work in an environment of continuous improvement, cooperatively and flexibly and maintain positive

collaborative working relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders and clients

4. Highly developed verbal and written communication skills including accuracy and attention to detail to prepare

correspondence.

5. High level organisational skills, self-motivation, demonstrated initiative, and the ability to plan and prioritise tasks to achieve

outcomes and meet deadlines within tight time constraints.

6. Demonstrated computer literacy, experience using Microsoft Office applications and learning management systems or ability

to acquire.

7. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values - professional, accountable, honest, respectful and

innovative.

Desirable:
1. Ability to facilitate training sessions and manage training events.

2. A relevant qualification in human resource management, organisational development, training and assessment, business

management or other relevant field .
