Bright Victoria is an extremely popular tourist destination all year round. The Ovens River Precinct provides tremendous summer fun whilst Bright is the gateway to Mount Buffalo and Mount Hotham National Parks with vibrant snow and skiing attractions.

At the heart of Bright is a well-established local business that through growth is now looking to take on two motivated and proactive individuals to complete a Certificate III in Hospitality.

About the Role

This is a career-start opportunity leading to an industry-recognised qualification with the opportunity to develop your skills on the job in a team environment.

The successful candidate will provide friendly, energetic service to a broad range of customers. Your duties will include but not be limited to:

• Polite and respectful customer engagement
• Service of food and beverage
• Cash and EFTPOS management
• Following opening and closing procedures
• Cleaning and sanitary duties
• Covid-19 coherence

This part-time Traineeship occurs over a two-year period and will see you working four days per week with alternate weekend rostering.

This is an entry level position and applicable award wage will apply.

About you

The successful candidate we seek will have excellent people skills, be honest and be reliable in nature. You will have an outstanding work ethic and a patient demeanour when dealing with the public.

A high level of motivation to complete the practical and theory-based components of your Traineeship is required.

Training Requirements

As part of this Traineeship, you will undertake Certificate III in Hospitality. A commitment to completing on and off the job training requirements of this Traineeship is necessary

Please note that Kestrel covers relevant RTO/Training fees.

What you will be provided

Throughout the duration of this Traineeship, you will be provided with ongoing support by your Consultant at Kestrel which will include career advice, pay enquiries, performance appraisals, etc.
