You demonstrate excellent conflict resolution skills, including the ability to control difficult and aggressive situations in a non-threatening and friendly manner. You can modify verbal delivery depending on the audience and the setting. You’re a respectful and professional person who demonstrates values in everything you do.
About the role
Reporting to the SIMS Team Leader you will respond to all incoming requests in line with the SIMS service delivery requirements to achieve target response times. You will Ensure the safe and secure environment for employees, patients and visitors at Fiona Stanley Hospital.
To be successful in this position, you will have:
The Highest levels of Integrity and ethical behaviour
Certificate II in Security Operations and holder of a WA Drivers Licence - C Class.
First Aid Certificate including CPR
Holder of Working with Children card (or willing to obtain one)
Demonstrated extensive experience in a similar position preferably within a health environment
Competency in physical restraints techniques when responding to aggressive patients/visitors to Fiona Stanley Hospital
Demonstrated experience within a KPI environment
Experience with handheld Personal Digital Assistants (PDA’s) is desirable
Proven experience in conflict resolution including the ability to control difficult and aggressive situations
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise and develop relationships with a range of stakeholders
A resilient nature to work in fast paced, high pressure and at times confronting environment.
