JOB DESCRIPTION

Guardian Group Financial Planning is a successful multi-faceted financial advice practice based in a blue-chip office address in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane.

'GGFP' specialises in the provision of sound and practical advice in the areas of superannuation, investment, and personal risk insurance.

We have invested heavily in technology infrastructure and a large back-office team that has allowed us to scale successfully and responsibly, and provide advice to clients Australia-wide.

We are seeking experienced, professional and ethical advisers to join our Advice Team.

Your role will be to attend appointments (predominantly via phone and video) with pre-booked, pre-qualified client leads who have expressed interest in receiving personal advice in the areas of super, investment and personal insurance.

You will play the integral role of engaging the client for advice, structuring and briefing the advice to our paraplanning team, and presenting the advice to the client for approval.

All other administrative tasks and client support services are handled on your behalf by our experienced team.

We are a corporate authorised representative of a non-institutionally aligned licensee and are therefore optimally-positioned to provide the client with high-quality advice with no inherent conflicts and a broad selection of products.

An adviser who also brings their own network/portfolio of clients is not essential but would be an advantage.

The role is offered as a full-time position, with a base salary and a generous commission structure, further detailed below.

Your role and responsibilities will consist of:

  • Attending pre-booked client 'first appointments' (via phone or video meeting technology)
  • Educating and showcasing our approach to advice, understanding the clients' needs, and effectively engaging clients to proceed with a Statement of Advice
  • Effectively capturing the client's goals and objectives, tying them back to sound, compliant advice in the client's best interests,
  • Briefing/instructing our Client Service & Paraplanning teams
  • Effectively managing your client files, gathering necessary information, supporting documentation and authorities during your meetings
  • Liaising with clients and insurers, underwriters, superannuation funds and other internal and external departments
  • Preparing preliminary insurance quotes as part of your briefing to paraplanners
  • Effectively conduct client reviews and subsequent advice, maintaining a high quality of ongoing advice and client retention

Skills and Attributes you will possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years experienced as an authorised financial adviser providing personal advice
  • Minimum of DipFP with degree-equivalent education pathway mapped out/in progress
  • A professional, positive attitude and phone presence
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills
  • Problem-solving ability and attention to detail
  • Able to self-motivate and work effectively unsupervised
  • Place a high importance on client service and satisfaction
  • Place a high importance on quality, compliant advice
  • Confident and willing to learn various software systems

How the role is structured and remunerated

  • Full-Time position with a 90 day probation period
  • Base PAYG Salary + Superannuation (contracting option available upon request)
  • Bonus: % of revenue generated paid as bonus on top of Salary
  • KPIs and performance benchmarks will be explained during the interview phase

To apply for this position, please apply via Indeed with your CV attached, and a cover letter telling us about yourself, and why you believe you would be an ideal fit for this role.
