About the role:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Website Content Author to join a team responsible for content management and optimisation of the Victoria Police website - a key digital communications channel and a vital source of trusted information on police news, resources, safety, careers, crime, emergency and non-urgent contacts, projects and initiatives.

The Website Content Author role supports the Website Content and Optimisation team in developing, authoring, managing and optimising website content. You will work closely with internal teams (digital production, campaigns, social and the media), Commands and external partners to provide information, tools and resources across the website aimed at helping Victorian's feel safe and be safe and promote trust in Victoria Police.

The successful person will have relevant web content authoring, management and analytic platform skills and be able to operate in an exciting, fast paced environment. Possessing well-developed oral and written communication skills, the candidate must be prepared to work collaboratively across a range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver optimal website user experiences.

Your duties will include:
Developing, authoring, publishing and managing website content and change requests;
Actioning a pipeline of website content change requests and insight driven opportunities to proactively optimise the digital experience;
Managing website enhancements, issues with internal stakeholders and external partners;
Supporting campaign/project activities across the website;
Ensuring website content quality and consistency in terms of messaging, visual identity and accessibility;
Providing support to stakeholders in the development of website content to support strategies;
Providing google analytics reporting, dashboards and insights support to drive content optimisation activities;
Monitoring and responding to website email enquiries.

As the successful applicant, you will have:
Relevant degree in digital marketing or related discipline and/or experience in website content management;
Hands on expertise with a web content management platform (Drupal 8 WCM tool highly preferred);
Ability to design, author and manage customer centric experiences via web content management tool;
Understanding of information architecture and SEO;
Understanding of website measurement, content engagement and conversion metrics;
Analytics experience and use of related platforms (google analytics preferred) to create reports and analyse website performance;
Content/marketing/SEO/user journey experience;
Experience in accessibility, WovG and digital standards would be highly regarded;
Good communication and relationship management skills with a proven ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders.

Requirements and relevant information:
One full-time, fixed term role available until 21/01/2022.
Position location is Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
