At Veneziano Coffee Roasters, we love coffee and are fascinated by how much there is to learn, taste and discover.

We are currently seeking a Research & Development Coffee Consultant to join our team in Melbourne. Responsible for driving a coffee culture, knowledge and passion throughout our business. This position provides Coffee Consultancy expertise within our coffee & beverage categories, driving research and development, internal and external reputation and knowledge, sales along with NPD.

You will be responsible for;

  • As the coffee subject matter expert provide guidance and support to the business as required to support strategic objectives;
  • Conduct market research and analyse market performance, share, competition and industry trends;
  • Research current and new product opportunities including but not limited to machines, systems and new materials;
  • Implement and source new products to maintain Veneziano market relevance and grow speciality sales;
  • Deliver significant research and innovation knowledge sharing sessions with the Veneziano team, and wider Group;
  • Lead R&D project team, drive quarterly meetings on R&D initiatives, market gaps and opportunities;
  • Utilise R&D findings to drive NPD (product & equipment) offers, or quality improvement initiatives;
  • Proactively manage competition preparation from talent identification through to training schedule for competitors across all states;
  • Provide Coffee Sensory and analysis expertise across all offerings.
