About the Role
As the successful Nurse Unit Manager, you will lead and be responsible the clinical team of 23. As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide direction, support and guidance to clinical staff to ensure they are effectively engaged in the delivery of appropriate care to patients (on a permanent basis).
We are looking for someone who can start immediately and has the experience to lead, manage and contribute to health and safety activities, to ensure a safe work environment for clients, community, staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities of the role:
• Being the focal point of the ward
• Demonstrate and lead others into the delivery of impeccable nursing care
• Providing services in the Emergency department
• Mentor, lead and support staff members
• Ensuring the patients are happy with the service
• Managing a team of up to 23 staff
As the successful Nurse Unit Manager, you will have:
• Proven management experience in a hospital setting
• Post Graduate Degree (or working towards) in Hospital or Health Services
• Exceptional relationship building skills, customer service and communication skills
• Highly skilled in administration, clinical leadership and negotiation and conflict resolution
• Demonstrated experience in Leadership and Staff Management
• 3-5 years minimum experience
