Systems Connect (an unincorporated Joint Venture between CPB Contractors and UGL Engineering) is delivering the Line-wide Works (LW Works) package of the Sydney Metro City & Southwest (SMCSW) project, which will extend Sydney Metro Northwest to the CBD and beyond to Bankstown. SMCSW is being delivered through a suite of contracts for the tunnels, stations, line-wide infrastructure and systems.

We are currently seeking to engage a Senior Training & Competency Coordinator to join our team in North Sydney. Reporting to the Competency Manager and supporting a small team of Training & Competency Administrators your role will be to partner with the Frontline Leaders to ensure that we deliver effective, high quality and accurate Competency and Training process management. The role will provide support to onboard direct and sub-contractor workforce in training and competency systems.

 About the role:

  • Support the Training & Competency Admin team with the mobilisation and demobilisation processes
  • Give advice to Managers and employees on a range of Training and Competency requirements
  • Support the Competency Manager to ensure Project achieves Workforce Development and Indigenous Participation targets
  • Support and administer the implementation of compliance standards
  • Coordinate and deliver on all workforce competency training requirements
  • Develop, manage and maintain all key stakeholder relationships in relation to Workforce competency requirements

 About you

  • Knowledge and experience in an HR/training role, with in depth exposure to Competencies and Training requirements
  • Multisite site-based training and competency experience
  • Results/goal driven work experience and focus
  • Excellent communication skills with strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Establish effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, to organise and prioritise demands, to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, to set and meet deadlines and to deliver results
