About the Role
A permanent part time position is now available for a qualified Instrument Technician interested in joining the dynamic team.
Maroondah CSSD is a dynamic and progressive department. We are responsible for the reprocessing of reusable medical equipment for Surgery, Endoscopy and other areas of Maroondah Hospital. The CSSD team is skilled, friendly, supportive and dedicated to ensuring the highest standards in the reprocessing of medical equipment. This will be an opportunity to develop your career in the sterilizing service.
About You
To be successful in the role you will have:
Certificate III in Sterilizing Services
Minimum 12 months experience in CSSD and can work with a high level of autonomy and accountability
Ability to work flexible rosters including weekends and public holidays is essential
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Basic Computer skills
A Positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment
Good communication and organisational skills
Experience or knowledge of Decontamination and Sterilization of surgical instruments in accordance with AS/NZS 4187 (2014) is required.
Ability to process specialised equipment including flexible endoscope & loan equipment is an advantage.
