About This Opportunity

The Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology are seeking an experienced Timetabling Officer to join their busy team ahead of Semester One.

In this role you will be responsible for the preparation and administration of timetabling to support the Faculty and its teaching endeavours. This position works closely with the Faculty’s Schools, providing advice on timetabling matters as well as undertaking room bookings for other resources overseen by the Faculty. You will be required to collaborate closely with the central Examinations and Timetabling team to enable the successful production of the University’s class timetables and allocations.

This position is located at our picturesque St Lucia campus, renowned as one of Australia’s most attractive university campuses, and located just 7km from Brisbane’s city centre. Bounded by the Brisbane River on three sides, and with outstanding public transport connections, our 114-hectare site provides a perfect work environment – you can enjoy the best of both worlds: a vibrant campus with the tradition of an established university.

Our Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this position you should possess an undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training combined with demonstrated experience working within the policy and procedural framework within a large tertiary institution.

You will have exceptional attention to detail, well developed problem solving skills, including the ability to liaise with relevant stakeholders to achieve resolution and the ability to manage time effectively to work to completing deadlines.

Experience using student administration and timetabling systems and technical skills and experience in Allocate Plus and SI-net are desirable.

You must have ongoing unrestricted work rights in Australia to apply for this opportunity.

What We Can Offer

This is a full-time, fixed term position for 12 months at HEW level 5.

The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $70,796 - $78,852, plus super of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be in the range $82,832 - $92,257
