Talent International are currently looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst for one of our Brisbane based banking clients. This is a contract role for approx. 6-9months, with the opportunity to work from home the majority of the time.

The BI Analyst will assist business units in making informed business decisions through advanced data analytics and actionable data visualisations. The person is responsible for integrating, preparing and mining sources of data to formulate processes, models and reports that can boost the efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to elicit, analyse, communicate and validate requirements for business intelligence dashboards and reporting.
• Facilitate workshops with business users to formulate and document detailed business requirements.
• Develop functional specifications for system developers.
• Design, build and deploy dashboard-type reporting to meet business needs / requirements, ensuring that business benefits are realised.
• Review test plans to ensure acceptable quality and integrity.
• Conduct user training in business intelligence tools.
  
  

Requirements

• Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using data visualisation techniques and tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills.
• Strong experience developing SQL and data visualisations utilising modern BI tools (Qlik Sense preferred).
• Demonstrated experience in Business Intelligence or related field.
• Proven experience in eliciting requirements and modelling dashboard-type reporting.
• An understanding of financial services operating environment and products (desirable).
