Position Summary: 

  • Responsible for providing support and advice to the Executive Directors in Data, Intelligence, Modelling and Epidemiology (DIME)
  • The role operates within a complex and dynamic environment that requires the capacity to exercise sound judgement, to liaise with and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and to undertake effective, timely actions.
  • The role may also lead and manage change initiatives and new processes across the DIME Branch more broadly, as required.


  • Provide coordination, advice and assistance to the Executive Directors in DIME , incorporating high level analysis and quality control on complex matters.
  • Support the Executive Director and the executive leadership team to deliver complex policy, legislation and reform, governance, and change management.
  • Prepare, review and provide high quality and strategic policy advice about briefings, Cabinet submissions, reports, and correspondence, with recommendations for the Executive Directors.
  • Clearly communicate expectations to DIME staff, and work collaboratively to deliver high quality briefings to the Executive Director, Deputy Secretary, Secretary and Minister.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including the Deputy Secretary's Office, the Secretary's Office and Minister's Office.
  • Contribute to the leadership of DIME by actively driving a continuous improvement approach to workplace culture and policy development.
  • Work flexibly across DIME , performing other tasks and contributing to other projects as required.
