JOB DESCRIPTION

The Administrative Support Officer is the heart of the Bourke Area National Parks and Wildlife Service team. The role undertakes a variety of administrative, financial and customer service functions to support a geographically dispersed team.


  • Ongoing full time role
  • Located in Bourke
  • Package includes starting salary $72,635, employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
  • Successful candidate may be eligible for a remote area allowance

About the role
This role provides a wide range of administrative support services such as visitor inquiries, records management, financial reporting and purchasing, meeting and event coordination, and HR administration. You will be supporting office and field staff based in Bourke and living on park.


You’ll be relied upon to utilise your strong administration skills including knowledge and experience with finance and data analysis. This position is a key role integral to the smooth running of the area and your superior communication skills, ability to prioritise varied tasks, and attention to detail will ensure your success.


Essential requirements of the position;

  • Experience in administration including experience in the use of computer based systems such as word processing, spreadsheet and records management systems.
  • Knowledge of financial and human resource management procedures, policies and practices, and contract administration.
