Due to the continuous success of our Australian operations, our Water business is seeking a Planning Engineers to work in our nationally focussed Water business. This role will include undertaking the hydraulic assessment of water supply and sewerage networks, undertaking options assessments using multi-criteria assessment techniques for master planning and detailed planning projects. The role will also have exposure to and support our asset management and strategy development functions. As a developing member of our team, you will be assisting senior engineers with delivering efficient and effective engineering consultancy services to our public and private sector clients.

The successful candidate will be a team player, and able to work with a range of stakeholders including influencing senior leaders.

  • 1 - 5 years’ experience as a water engineer, ideally from the consultancy sector.
  • Understanding of water supply and sewerage networks.
  • Understanding and implementation of hydraulic principles.
  • Hydraulic calculations including the use of hydraulic software/models.
  • Working knowledge of GIS and excel to interrogate and assess data.
  • Preparation of reports and maps.
  • Input into project scoping or proposal development.
  • Project Management or Task Management.
  • Balances innovation, quality, and technical excellence with delivery to timelines and cost.
  • Open to and action feedback.
  • Presents in a professional image and effectively communicates and is a good listener.
