• Salary: $28.28 - $30.42 per hour + 25% casual loading - Casual (up to 31 January 2022) - OPS2

Joining the team at Clare Hospital, you will perform a wide range of new, minor and preventative maintenance work and facilities services. Contributing to the efficient operation of the Maintenance Department, you will be assisting in the provision of the ongoing maintenance program for all Plant and Equipment, according to the Health Service's Maintenance, Security, Electrical and Fire Policy requirements. You will ensure that relevant standards, accreditation, legislative and regulatory requirements are complied with, including updating practice in relation to new trends within the maintenance area, which results in service excellence and a safe environment for patients, residents, clients, staff and visitors. Whilst not essential, it would be beneficial to have a trade qualification. You will need to have demonstrated experience in a broad range of maintenance activities/repairs, including building, grounds and equipment maintenance. Along with an ability to use a wide range of hand and power tools, you will be confident in undertaking minor carpentry, painting, metal work or plumbing jobs. A team player who can work with limited supervision, manage time effectively and prioritise tasks, you will possess effective interpersonal skills which enable you to work respectfully and appropriately with customers from diverse backgrounds.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Screening/Check and specific immunisation requirements.
