Frontline HR are a privately owned and established in 2001, Frontline Human Resources operates across South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland employing over 35 full time staff servicing both small, medium and large enterprise.
We have a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Site Safety Officer.
Our client is one of Australia's largest privately-owned construction, industrial and environmental services organisations. Operations spreading from city centres through to remote locations and employing over 750 people Australia wide.
responsibilities of this role include but not limited to:
- Advise and lead employees on various safety-related topics and assist with the facilitation, coordination and delivery of client related training
- Promote a positive safety culture through constant visibility onsite and building rapport with all site personnel
- Conduct Risk Assessments as per company procedure ensuring that all actions are completed
- Take the Lead in Incident Reporting & Investigation Procedure to ensure that the reported incidents are maintained, investigated and closed on a timely basis. Ensure alerts are created and shared with all relevant stakeholders for all the critical Incidents
- Ensure a consultative process is used in the management of health, safety, welfare, rehabilitation administration including undertaking regular toolbox meetings
- Encourage, develop and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders through continual communication and diplomacy
The successful applicant will have the following attributes:
- Relevant tertiary WHS qualifications (minimum diploma or Cert IV)
- Have extensive commercial construction safety experience, preferably experience within roofing environment
- Experience in leading the synthesis of Safe Work Method Statements with work crews engaged in High Risk work
- Experience in Senior First Aid provision in a High Risk environment (Occupational First Aider preferred)
- Ability to engage and communicate effectively with a diverse range of people, including both written and verbal communication
- Thrive in an autonomous environment, can evolve quickly and committed to meet deadlines
- A practical, hands-on, proactive approach to safety management
- An ability to manage conflict
