JOB DESCRIPTION
PRONIA is an ethno-specific community services agency servicing the needs of the Australian Greek community, operating under a dual model of advocacy and service development and delivery.
PRONIA is seeking a Generic Aide on a part time capacity for Balwyn on Fridays. Reporting to the Centre Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing support to clients who attend and participate in the Centre’s activities. You will also assist the clients with their personal care such as feeding, and toileting as required, assist in the organisation of relevant recreational, physical and educational activities for clients.
The successful applicant will have, amongst other attributes, well developed English written and oral skills, fluency in the Greek language and experience in organising recreational activities. A minimum Certificate III in Home and Community Care or the equivalent qualification as well as a Certificate II in First Aid or the willingness to undertake the course.
Remuneration according to qualifications & experience under the Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Industry Award 2010. Salary packaging available.
