The Role:

We are seeking qualified and experienced Support Workers in Bundoora who will excel in caring for both young individuals and adults living with physical and intellectual disabilities with carrying support needs to enhance physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development.

You will be responsible for providing day to day support to our participants, this ranges from support within in-home, day to day activities, and accessing the community.

You will need the ability to provide specialist care such as peg feeding, hoisting, overnight respite, and dealing with complex behaviors.

As a Disability Support Worker, you will:

• Support clients to identify and achieve goals
• Support daily living activities through capacity building
• Maximize independence and confidence through enabling clients to access the community
• Implement unique behavior support plans
• Implement routines and structures through positive role modelling
• Collaborate with team members
• Build effective relationships with clients and their families and carers

Must Haves:

• Minimum of Cert 3 in Aged Care/ Disability/ HACC/ Individual Support OR O/S Nurse/ Doctors OR Currently pursuing Bachelors/ Diploma of Nursing with at least 1 completed placements
• Experience in Disability Home Care, Aged Care and/or Community Work
• Current Australian Drivers License
• Own vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
• Current National Police Clearance (obtained within the last 12 months)
• Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
• Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID 003)
• Manual Handling Certificate
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Tuesday & Thursday Availability
