About the role

Opportunities for Support Workers in Doncaster East

We are currently looking for enthusiastic and experienced disability support workers who are flexible in their availability to work multiple shifts. The ideal candidates will excel in caring for both young individuals and adults living with physical and intellectual disabilities with carrying support needs to enhance physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development. Your role may vary and will include the following duties:

• Community participation
• Support with daily living skills and personal care
• Promoting independence and planning
• Home care/domestic duties
• Assisting participants to achieve their goals
• Implementing therapy goals

Essential Criteria

• Current Australian Drivers License
• Own vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
• Current National Police Clearance (obtained within the last 6 months)
• Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
• Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID 003)
• Manual Handling Certificate
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
• Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work permanently with no restriction on hours (preferred)

Desirable Criteria

• Experience working with challenging behaviours
• Certificate in Disability or equivalent
