We represent the misunderstood in the area of addiction and emotional disadvantage and the confronting of attitudes in society with stigma, narrow mindedness and ignorance.

Darryl Vine formed the company in 2004. Currently CEO and Director of Operations and Compliance he has the living experience as a recovered alcoholic with over 29 years of abstinence and quality in his life. His inspirational story has been mentioned in the chapters of various self-help groups and environment and is currently writing his life story as an inspiration for others to follow his pathway.

Divine Living Solutions Limited is about the hope experience and strength of people like Darryl in the community that fall through the gaps of welfare and society. Our company provides these disadvantaged people an opportunity for change and understanding to take place in their lives. A changing effect can instil major confidence in an individual that creates healthy self-esteem with their focus and desire centring on a new found hope. To enable the change to occur we need a high level professional who understands this disadvantaged problem in society and can assist the company to grow and reach its vision in the community for these people.

Position Summary

The Grants and Submission Writer is responsible for the development of a structured submission process using the company values and vision for its sustainable future.

We require a highly motivated individual that has outstanding qualities , writing skills and proven success rate with Not-For-Profit companies. The role is primarily a commission base to commence and subject to change related to funding.

Reports to: CEO and works in collaboration with another Board member.

Direct Reports: CEO

Compliance: In liaison with the CEO, ensure compliance with funding body requirements, and all other relevant legal requirements, for example as required by the legislation around Incorporated Associations, Register of Cultural Organisations, etc.

Finance: In liaison with the CEO, provide monthly reports to CEO to be reviewed with the Board of Directors at regular board meetings, develop, monitor and revise annual and project budgets in relation to grants and submissions, follow the the direction of the board strategic company marketing plan an develop funding strategy and timelines for funding opportunities and to lead all grant writing and fundraising initiatives, prepare and acquit funding submissions. Investigate sources of funding to make the role ongoing.

Networks and Relationships: Represent Divine Living Solutions Limited Board within corporate and/or community networks. Forge and maintain high-level relationships with stakeholders, government, business, the philanthropic sector, including potential sponsors and patrons.

Strategic Planning

Create and successfully implement a Grants and Submission Plan in conjunction with the strategies created by the Director of Corporate and Community Sales and Marketing. Provide a written 3-year plan for the future sustainability of the grants and submission making process for the company with the vision and cooperation of the CEO and to report all findings and developments to the CEO.

General Grants and Submissions Operations

Establish and maintain efficient digital and physical filing systems, IT systems and operating policies and procedures to ensure they comply with best practice and current legislation.


A regular planning strategy is to be updated and report provided to the CEO on each grant, submission or any or all funding plans and philanthropic drafts. A written detailed report is to be drafted for the CEO on any achievements in funding using the company planning strategy. A regular performance appraisal will be conducted by the CEO with the Grants Submission Writer on a monthly and annual basis against the KPI's of the position description.

Essential Selection Criteria:

High level skills and experience in organisational environments relevant to a non-profit entity, covering the areas of responsibility listed above and experience in writing successful funding submissions relevant to the non-profit sector, preferably the health and community sector

To work independently and collaboratively with a team with minimal supervision and experience in working with CEO's, executive management and teams

To have the ability to write successful submissions with a proven sustainability by achieving outcomes as outlined by the CEO and developing subsequent growth ensuing meeting deadlines and targets.

To be able to divide and separate various grant and funding avenues and opportunities

Interest in, and understanding of, issues faced by people with a disability, social disadvantage, plus general societal issues including substance use and change

Knowledge of, and networks in, health, community, disability, local government and corporate and community sectors

Experience in negotiating sponsorship agreements and/or other formal partnerships and knowledge of, and passion for, health and change, addiction, behavior management and personal development

Tertiary Qualifications in Health, Business Administration, Financial Administration and Writing Grants and Submissions for Non-Profit Organisations
