The Opportunity

A natural leader, the Procure to Pay (P2P) Manager will coach and guide the P2P team to work with business units to drive alignment and deliver operational excellence across Medibank’s Supplier Relationships.

Key responsibilities include:
Providing leadership, development and coaching for the P2P team members to deliver an engaged and motivated, high performing team;
Leading the P2P team to improve end to end transaction quality and control;
Embedding a culture of customer service and flawless delivery against expectations;
Working with business stakeholders to demonstrate the broad range of benefits that Procurement can deliver through a commercially focussed approach;
The P2P Manager will be the focal point for the wider procurement team in providing general assistance, and support in using the P2P system and to troubleshoot and resolve the P2P process with the team;
Identifying business process and/or system improvement opportunities via a number of channels and staying aware of new technologies relating to procurement systems and ensuring that we leverage these opportunities to meet business requirements;
Engaging and managing stakeholders across the organisation in order to be able to understand business imperatives and support these with the appropriate Purchasing strategy.

About You
An empathetic leader, you have demonstrated experience in a strategic procurement function with transactional purchasing and accounts payable experience. You have an understanding of “upstream and downstream” procurement processes and proficiency in P2P systems.

You have the ability to step outside from the day to day operations and focus on the big picture. You enable the team to deliver the long term strategy, while supporting them to meet their short term goals.

Your experience in people management, including escalation management, ability to deal with crisis or conflict will set you up for success in this role. As will the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Any previous Ariba P2P experience will be highly desirable.
