Mobile Librarian

About the Company

Our client provides a mobile library service that is constantly listening and adapting to the changing needs of the community. They service the Baw Baw Region and bring the library to you. You will be responsible for driving the mobile library as well as reading stories to the community as part of the story time.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Building connections with the community and deliver library services to all
• Driving and setting up the mobile library in rural locations
• Ability to read clearly and engage a crowd
• Confident in reading out loud
• Being patient and have an interest in early learning development
• Maintaining and daily organisation of mobile library
• Responsible for driving in a safe manner

Skills and Experience

• Previous Library experience is beneficial, however on the job training will be a priority
• Minimum 3 years within a customer focused environment
• An understanding of relevant technology (Zoom, Microsoft Teams etc)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Sound presentation skills
• Working within children's check or willing to obtain one
• Successful police check

Qualifications and Licenses

• A Victoria Heavy Combination Driver's License
