Part-time Role for an Aged Care Facility Based in South-West Sydney

Your new company
Your new company is an aged-care, not-for-profit organisation based near Liverpool. Due to increased demands, this organisation is growing rapidly and requires a Payroll and Roster Coordinator to join their team urgently on a temporary basis. There is a permanent position available for the right candidate.

Your new role

  • Perform month-end salary, super and tax reconciliations
  • Payroll month-end reporting including monthly leave movements
  • Annual reconciliation of year-end payroll and general ledger
  • Provide payroll, salary sacrifice, superannuation and deduction files to accounts payment for processing
  • Facilitate legislative changes to payroll
  • Assisting administration where required
  • Supporting the payables and receivables functions
  • Timely and accurate processing of the fortnightly pay-runs as well as ensuring all new employees are entered in the relevant system
  • Calculating and ensuring final pays are processed for exiting employee
  • Calculating leave accruals, ensuring the balances are correct
  • Updating the payroll system for changes to the shift swaps, changes to the roster etc.
  • Taking calls from staff when they call in sick, informing the Residential Services Manager and, or the Registered Nurse in charge and filling shifts
  • Notify staff of any rostering changes
  • Coordinating rosters around sick and annual leave
  • Preparing and issuing rosters in accordance with industrial agreements and daily maintenance
  • Assist recruitment process or facilitate the recruitment process

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience in payroll is essential
  • Scheduling or rostering experience using electronic client management systems is essential
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in the health or aged care industry
  • Experience in system implementations or migrations is highly desirable
