Blackburn Smiles Dental have a position for a dental assistant/receptionist to join the team! We are looking for a candidate who is wanting to gain practical on the job experience, whilst receiving extensive training (and a certificate III) in dental assisting. This is an excellent career opportunity with a company that provides healthy, aesthetic smiles and continually focuses on improving the quality, function, and appearance of their client’s teeth that lasts a lifetime.

About the opportunity: Tasks will include, but are not limited to: Reception duties, including scheduling appointments, meeting and greeting clients into the office, taking HICAPS/TYRO and EFTPOS payments, preparing patients & facilities for dental treatment, chair side assisting, maintaining stock, sterilization, Infection control, manage office supplies, stock and place orders.

Previous experience in this field will be highly regarded, however not essential.

Salary: $25,000.00 - $30,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Work Eligibility:

  • Permitted to work permanently with no restriction on hours (e.g. citizen, permanent resident) (Required)

Duties:

  • Providing chair-side assistance (e.g. handing equipment to dentists, spraying and suction)
  • Assisting with administrative tasks as needed (e.g. billing, maintaining patient records)
  • Routinely maintaining and sterilising equipment
  • Assisting with front office tasks as needed (e.g. reception)
