JOB DESCRIPTION

An ideal opportunity to live and work in Far North Queensland is on offer for an experienced Automotive Technician.

Our client is well known in the region and contributes to a number of groups and organizations benefiting the local area. In addition they regularly work with local high schools assisting with work experience, workshops, career days supporting training opportunities for the automotive industry.

A family owned business that have supported and served the community for many years. You can be a part of this group and reap the rewards and benefits to being part of their team currently 100+ on staff. They are offering full time work, Monday to Friday. 

A tropical, relaxed region offering different lifestyles. Various suburbs available to choose from, some close to the CBD, others just that little bit further away - all depending what you are after, schools, modern conveniences, shopping, northern beaches etc.

Role Responsibilities

  • Diagnosis & repair 
  • Dismantle, reconstruct or replacement of components
  • Repair/maintenance of mechanical parts - engine, transmission, suspension
  • Liaise with your Foreman/Workshop Controller and Service Manager when deemed necessary
  • Report & document all work carried out via the repair order as per process
  • Providing guidance and training to Apprentice Service Technicians
  • Maintaining an up to date knowledge of all mechanical issues and changes relating to dealer product range
  • Test driving as per procedure


The ideal candidate for this role must have:

  • Full Australian working rights
  • Have experience working with multi brands
  • Have the ability to work proactively in an autonomous environment
  • Have high attention to detail with a good work ethic
  • Have the ability to contribute to building a positive team spirit
  • Hold a current and valid manual driver’s license (QLD)
