JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer who would like to blend this with Accounts, this will be a dynamic role that offers lots of variety. You will work with a great team and no two days are ever the same!

Client Details

Our client specialises in financial services, they are based in the inner city suburbs of Perth, close to public transport, bars and cafes.

You'll be reporting into the Finance Manager and work closely with both Payroll and Accounts.

Description

  • Processing Monthly & Fortnightly pays for over 200 staff
  • Resolving/answering queries relating to payroll across the organisation
  • Involvement with the on boarding & staff movement process
  • Month-end reporting and reconciliations, including ATO reporting
  • Administer payroll compliance payments (PAYG and Superannuation)
  • Superannuation - lodging returns and managing the portal
  • Preparing management reports based on payroll information
  • Liaise with HR for payroll exceptions
  • Develop and record payroll procedures and standards
  • End to end accounts payable
  • Matching of approved purchase orders to invoices for processing
  • Daily entry of all supplier invoices
  • Processing payments for suppliers
  • Reconciling bank accounts
  • Process employee expense claim forms and corporate credit card statements; and
  • Assisting all other members of the Finance Team as required

Profile

  • A minimum of three years payroll experience processing for +100 staff
  • Proven exposure to the accounting function, specifically Accounts Payable
  • iChris & Microsoft Dynamics experience preferred but not essential
  • Proficient in the MS Office suite
  • A high level of professionalism especially when exposed to confidential information
  • High attention to detail with the ability to analyse data, identify discrepancies and provide recommendations for continuous improvement initiatives
  • The ability to build and maintain successful working relationships
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work both autonomously and also be part of a team
  • A high level of written and verbal communication skills
  • High standards of personal integrity and professionalism
