We support people living with Alzheimer’s, dementia and cognitive decline, disabilities, post-operative care needs and older Australians. About the role

We currently have a position available for a qualified, reliable and passionate Personal Care Worker to join our team in Albury. You will need to be friendly, positive and demonstrate client-focused behaviour, showing empathy and treating others with dignity and respect. You’ll also need to have a natural ability to build relationships that make a difference, be honest, helpful and dependable, making you a great asset to our team.

Responsibilities will include:

• Working within a person-centred, enabling environment that respects the rights and needs of each client
• Assisting clients with personal hygiene, dressing and domestic duties
• Assisting clients with daily errands, companionship and support
• Providing support with academic, social or recreational activities
• Preparing food, feeding clients and administering medications
• Observe, care and report any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client
• Responding to emergency situations
• Working weekend and overnight shifts as rostered

Essential Criteria:

• Minimum Certificate III in Individual Care or equivalent
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to learn, develop and take on new challenges
• Current National Police Check
• Current First Aid & CPR certificates
• Current unrestricted driver’s licence
• Working with Children Check - Employee
• Endorsed to administer medication (desirable)
• Comprehensive car insurance (desirable)
