About the Role
Based in our Melbourne office and reporting to the CEO of the Apprentice & Trainee Centre this exciting and varied role will suit an experienced leader in business growth. This is a new role that will be part of the leadership team driving the business development and growth activities in line with the strategic and operational plans for the Apprentice & Trainee Centre.
Whilst the reality of each day will be different, some of the things you will expect to see in this role include: 

Research and identify business growth, business retention and diversification opportunities that support the achievement of our strategic goals.

Developing key partnerships with internal and external stakeholders formulating and submitting grant and tender applications.

Communicate and implement solutions focused strategic thinking.

Meeting complex needs of clients, identify potential clients, and drive new business by developing a growth strategy.

Producing results through effective marketing, networking and most importantly professional relationship building and contacts.

To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:

Evidence of success in initiating and facilitating business growth strategies

Ability to build and maintain effective internal and external relationships with key stakeholders to support business growth.

A pro-active, innovative and collaborative attitude

A very high level of written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and database management tools

Exemplary interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills

Evidence of successful management of business development activities within time and budgetary requirements; demonstrated territory management and key account management skills

A strong commitment to continuous quality improvement and customer service

Other skills/knowledge that would help you in this role:

Previous experience within a GTO, ASSN, Labour Hire or Recruitment environment is highly desirable.

Previous experience with a diverse range of businesses and government
