The Power Grids business offers power and automation products, systems, service and software solutions across the generation, transmission and distribution value chain. Support Sales team in articulating the business value and solution offerings of HAPG to customers and prospects. Qualify opportunities, build customer rapport and facilitate customer/prospect evaluation of relevant products/systems as part of the sales engagement process. To ensure excellent collaboration with our clients, the Presales Solution Consultant – Field Service Management (FSM), works closely with Sales, Product Development, Marketing, Professional Services, Partners and other client/third party stakeholder; to design & execute high quality solutions to our dynamic client base. The Presales Solution Consultant – FSM, contributes to RFI/RFP responses and the development of design documents and provides specialist expertise and input to HAPG proposals.

Your Responsibilities

  • Assists the Sales team and Partners with presales support in new business and customer growth strategies which are directly related to revenue generation. Participates in development of strategies and supports implementation of successful sales campaigns.
  • Identifies and qualifies new opportunities by using analytic and diagnostic skills to match user requirements to HAPG solutions. Assists in preparation of tender responses.
  • Undertakes prospect “discovery” including research, calls and face-to-face workshops to uncover key business drivers and customer buying criteria.
  • Participates in individual and team presentations and demonstrations. Represents HAPG at nominated industry and marketing functions.
  • Maintains detailed knowledge of both customer developments and of the assigned HAPG products/solutions and shares industry and product knowledge with the Sales team to enhance pre-sales skills.
  • Ensure safe working procedures and practices are always followed including the wearing and maintenance of assigned Personal Protective Equipment; attendance at required health, safety and environment training; report injury, incidents, hazards and near miss events. Model safe work behaviors in all aspects of work and actively identify hazards and risk controls

Your background
  • A Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Information Technology or Business Management
  • Minimum experience of 5 years related to working experience customer or vendor organizations, experience working in the IT industry for more than 5 years will be advantageous
  • Experience in working with HAPG Workforce Mobility solutions.
  • Ability to communicate around business issues in a credible manner to senior audiences
  • Strong presentation and demonstration skills with the goal of influencing customer decisions to gain and retain HAPG business
  • Superior communication skills – written and verbal
  • Experience in technical or solution architecture of enterprise software solutions
  • Experience in Utilities, Mining, Transport and other asset intensive industries
  • Experience and knowledge of FSM solutions such as those from – Salesforce (Click Software), Clevest, IFS, SAP, IBM Maximo, Infor, iAuditor etc
  • Must have had exposure to sales and consulting environments in enterprise software
  • Have a good understanding and knowledge of relevant industry trends and initiatives around FSM
  • Ability to travel both interstate and internationally as required.
