Period of employment / Hours:

Fixed term full-time day work (part-time hours may be considered by negotiation) commencing ASAP until 31 December 2021.

Emergency Coordination Centre - South

Duties:

  • Assist with the project management and implementation of emergency response initiatives, services, programs or projects and in dealings with internal and external stakeholders with regards to the delivery of target outcomes.
  • Provide support and coordination to ensure that service/program/project activities are aligned to DoH policies, core business functions and relevant legislation, including identifying issues and supporting meetings and negotiations.
  • Provide high level advice on and attend to complex and contentious issues either impacting on or impacted by the delivery of emergency response service/program/project activities and contribute to the development of solutions.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Qualifications and/or experience in Emergency Management.
  • Understanding of Tasmanian Emergency Management Arrangements and DoH emergency response and recovery, policy, plans and procedures.
