Job Description
The position is primarily responsible for providing a security presence whilst remaining alert and focused. You will be part of an enthusiastic, committed and customer focused team. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all our customers, and you will also build strong relationships with your internal stakeholders.
Locally based, you will work within the permanent rotational 4 on 4 off roster and will also be responsible for ensuring only authorised vehicles and personnel enter site. Conduct activities appropriate to controlling access as specified by the client.
Key activities
- Managing site access and traffic movements,
- Ensure all those entering secured premises have authorisation to do so
- Conduct Vehicle and bag searches,
- Conduct random breath testing as directed
- Ensure all those entering secured premises have authorisation to do so
- Organise security passes
- Issuing, controlling, signing in and out of keys as required
- Render First Aid as required
- Respond to security risk situations
- Monitor individuals
- Up-keep of documentation – reports / records
- Complete daily logs
- Maintain focus and observe the activities associated with access control
- Use appropriate methods of communication (eg radio, phone, log books) to report incidents and issues

Desired Skills and Experience
Essential Criteria
- Certificate II in Security Operations
- Hold an Individual Class 1 Security Licence – Unarmed Security Officer including crowd control
- Hold current Senior First Aid and CPR certification.
- Current Queensland Drivers Licence
- minimum 1 years’ experience in security industry
- Have an intermediate level of proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication skills and use of radio
- Ability to write thorough incident reports and logs (Word and Excel).
- Ability to follow instructions and multi task during pressure situations
