Period of Appointment

Appointment to the role is on a fixed term full time basis for a one year appointment.

Duties

[

  • Act as a primary point of contact for Arts Tasmania and provide a high-level client service to stakeholders including liaison with local and interstate businesses and public sector organisations, state and federal ministerial officers, government staff and a range of industry and community groups.
  • Provide high-level support to the Manager, Grants including delivering Arts Tasmania’s grants program, and managing the flow of information, research of files and other material, preparation of correspondence, presentations and word processing.
  • Provide support to the Manager, Special Projects and Industry Development to deliver activities of professional and industry development to the arts and cultural sector.
  • Manage the timely, efficient and effective flow of information and documentation through undertaking a range of tasks associated with correspondence and the provision of information to the arts and cultural sectors.
  • Contribute to the preparation of documents regarding a range of whole-of-government matters such as cabinet, community forums and government boards.
  • Undertake special projects and budget management tasks at the discretion of the Manager including monitoring and reporting of expenditure against budget.
  • Work with key personnel within the Department of State Growth to coordinate, disseminate, monitor and manage information.
