Manager - Allied Health Service Townsville


Cootharinga North Queensland is an experienced provider of services and supports to people living with disability. About the Role
The successful applicant will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the Allied Health Team, by assuming daily operational leadership of the Allied Health team in the designated area. You will plan, manage and develop your areas of responsibility in an effective and cost efficient manner that is consistent with Cootharinga’s vision and Strategic Framework, within a continuous improvement framework and to lead the Allied Health team to deliver high quality, timely and responsive customer service to Cootharinga customers within the allied health service environment.

Selection Criteria
ESSENTIAL:
  • Relevant Allied Health bachelor degree (or equivalent, or higher level qualification) and evidence of registration with governing body (e.g. AHPRA, SPA, etc).
  • Hold or will be able to hold a Medicare Provider Number
  • Must hold a Blue Card (positive Working With Children Check), and be willing and eligible to obtain a Yellow Card (Disability Worker Screening criminal history check).
  • Current ‘C’ class driver’s license
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
  • Proven ability to manage business performance and achieve targets whilst operating within agreed budgets.
  • Proven excellence in verbal and written communication, and highly developed interpersonal skills in effectively working with a wide range of people, applicable to a supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement procedures and practices in accordance with organisational policy within a complex environment, and lead or contribute to review where necessary.
  • Experience developing and monitoring quality improvements to meet relevant quality standards.
  • Excellent standards of customer service, and an ability to lead a team to achieve this.
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability with capacity to identify clinical needs and trends and develop innovative programs and approaches.
  • Previous experience leading a clinical team or in a senior clinical role.
DESIRABLE:
  • Demonstrated understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme, National Industry Insurance Scheme, Medicare, Private Health or other funding schemes for Allied Health.
  • Postgraduate skills or qualifications in management, or business.
