The role may be offered as full or part time, and we would love to hear from you if you are interested in:
- Providing counselling/therapy to those with psychosocial, intellectual and autistic related disability
- Undertaking psychological/biopsychosocial assessments
- Creating and implementing positive behaviour support plans, including the training of key stakeholders
- Undertaking other psychologically based capacity building services across a client’s life span to address issues which may affect the function, independence and social inclusion of individuals with disability, their families and carers.
- Working with and alongside a multi-disciplinary team to achieve the best quality of life outcome for your client.

About you
While graduates and experienced candidates are encouraged to apply, to be considered for this position you will possess the following:
- Formal qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Rehabilitation Counselling or Developmental Education.
- Full Registration with AHPRA, AASW, ASORC or DEAI.
- Expertise in the assessment and treatment of a wide range of biopsychosocial problems including core competencies in mental health assessment and management using evidence-based interventions
- Current drivers licence
- DCSI Disability Services Employment & Working with Children Check
Preferred experiences include:
- Significant recent experience in CBT intervention treatment (Behaviour Activation, Exposure Therapy, ACT, Mindfulness)
- Proven ability in applying positive behaviour support principles to the development of behaviour support plans.
- Proven ability in the development and delivery of behaviour support plan training
- Experience in the creation and implementation of skill enhancement programs and resources
