Role: Senior Analyst Power BI Developer, Reporting and Portfolio Projects (Role until - 30 June 2021)

Position Summary: 

  • Participate in the routine and ad hoc epidemiological analysis and reporting of complex COVID 19 data to our various stakeholders.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests requiring epidemiological interpretation of COVID 19 surveillance data.
  • Supports development of new or improved surveillance reporting

Responsibilities:

  • Provide PowerBI development expertise to enable delivering data visualisations for various health data measures as directed.
  • Develop new surveillance reporting products
  • Maintain existing surveillance reporting products
  • Regular and ad hoc reporting for internal and external stakeholders
  • Drive ongoing improvements to data quality and processes.
  • Provide surveillance and reporting insights to inform COVID 19 policy response.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of systematic data reporting, including making updates to Standard Operating Procedures
  • Ensure relevant SOPs and protocols for the Report Development team are developed and accessible.
  • Generate data and ensure there are appropriate processes to support production of routine reports, as required.
  • Provide systems management support for the DHHS/VICNISS relationship in regard to COVID patient surveillance.
  • Attend relevant team meetings and meetings with other teams within the response to stay updated on developments and cultivate opportunities for collaboration between teams.
  • Provide useful updates and handover to the other Analysts on shifts
  • Contribute to ongoing projects within the Report Development and broader Reporting team.
  • Provide updates on routine reporting and other ad hoc requests to the Report Development Team Lead/Manager.
