Position Summary: 

  • Manage and coordinate deliverables relevant to the Global Awareness and Policy Integration (GAPI) mandate as part of the department's response to COVID 19
  • Actively build connections improve communications and engage with relevant teams and stakeholders to understand the high level policy questions of interest, and where epidemiological outputs produced by the team can be positioned to support.
  • Interpret epidemiological findings from DIME and provide contextual analysis and a strategic lens as needed for policy (cabinet submissions), reports and public facing communications.
  • Maintain a policy framework to analyse and understand epidemiological insights to guide outputs and the direction of the public health response where possible.


  • Report to the Global Awareness and Policy Integration (GAPI) Manager.
  • Coordinate and develop ongoing deliverables and in scope projects across GAPI to meet team objectives.
  • Proactively build and maintain positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to facilitate collaborative partnerships
  • Support the team's awareness of priority policy areas to ensure epidemiological considerations are applied where relevant.
  • Play an active role in supporting GAPI to manage stakeholder relationships and enhance collaboration, clear communication and strategic alignment both within and across teams.
  • Develop and maintain a policy framework which can be applied to DIME outputs to ensure they are in line with broader public health response objectives.
  • Provide documentation as needed to maintain clear objectives, reporting lines and outcomes for internal and external stakeholders in order to maintain concise messaging throughout.
