Channeling your energy and enthusiasm into a highly rewarding role working with consumers, families and carers, you will work within the Consultation Liaison (CL) team at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (TQEH) providing skilled evidence based clinical psychology services. As the Senior Clinical Psychologist, you will complete a range of duties such as conducting complex and comprehensive assessments of patient needs, developing case formulations and developing, implementing and monitoring specialised and targeted psychological interventions, as well as providing consultancy within the team. Within the CL team, you will oversee and supervise the appropriate implementation of effective psychological treatment strategies by other hospital staff to ensure the effective management and care of patients who require the services of the TQEH CL team. Furthermore, you will provide clinical leadership, particularly in relation to psychological issues and the team development.

You must have a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology or equivalent qualification recognised by the PsyBA and general registration with PsyBA and an endorsed area of practice in Clinical Psychology. Bringing a broad range of experience within community and inpatient health services, you will have advanced skills in undertaking a comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessment including risk assessments of consumers presenting with high or complex needs. In addition, you will have a proven track record in individualised mental health care planning and coordinating comprehensive service provision with people who have high or complex needs.
