Team Leader required for fixed term contract with the possibility of extension


Your new company

Working with an independent not-for profit organisation affiliated with another organisation with over 30 years experience working in remote Aboriginal Australia.

Your new role

  • You will be working with the Team & Community Manager to facilitate the development of day to day education programs whilst building capacity and mentoring local indigenous staff.
  • The position is responsible for all of the logistics and administration required to ensure the smooth delivery of the the organisations program alongside implementation of new and existing polices and procedures to improve services.
  • At the core of this position is building and developing relationships with staff and community stakeholders to continue to bring to the forefront and showcase the positive impact of the program.
  • Report on learning outcomes, recommendations and identifying needs for program participants.
  • Mentor and support local staff in the delivery of the program.
  • Oversee staff & Management of resources.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Proven Experience in developing teams.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Straight communities.
  • Commitment to transfer skills to local staff with an inclusive and collaborative approach.
  • Demonstrated experience in understanding the issues faced by those living in remote communities.
  • Competent computer skills especially with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Current Australian drivers licence ideally with the ability to drive a manual vehicle in a 4WD environment.
  • Eligibility to obtain a NT Ochre card.
