The position is responsible for maintaining and expanding relationships and revenue within a portfolio of existing customers. The Account Manager will be focused on growing their accounts portfolio revenue every quarter, whilst ensuring customers contracts are renewed. Your tasks will include daily calls and face to face meetings to build relationships with your customer base. You will be accustomed to monthly KPI targets and enjoy meeting and exceeding those targets on a regular basis. The successful candidate enjoys relationship building with customers and is focused on maintaining customer satisfaction and customer spend. Sales experience, presentation skills and report building is essential to this role. As part of the interaction with prospects and customers, important market intelligence is to be obtained to ensure market competitiveness and relationships are maintained.

Travel will be required with this role.

Account Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with all key stake holders and customers in the portfolio.
  • Serve as the face of the company and be the single point of contact for enquiries and concerns.
  • Manage expectations of clients on a timely basis if disruptions occur during service delivery process.
  • Maintain regular communication with client decision makers, meeting with them at least quarterly.
  • Maintain or exceed current revenue levels from assigned customer portfolio in accordance to KPI’s supplied
  • Ensure all existing contracts nearing expiry are engaged for renewal prior to end date
  • Be aware of upcoming out of contract services 12 months in advance
  • Aim for all existing contracts are signed for a further period within 3 months out from the contract end date.
  • Create a hierarchal flowchart of each organisation from your assigned portfolio.
  • Maintain accurate salesforce records for all your portfolio accounts
  • Understand customer needs and requirements and match them to existing and new BBS products and services.
  • Prepare quotations and provide solutions as necessary.
  • Ensure all email, meeting, and note correspondence is logged in salesforce with detail
  • Contribute to the team performance by sharing and implementing best practice ideas.
  • Meet sales targets and KPI’s as required (bonus programs may be included when KPI’s are met).
  • KPI’s and Targets will be reflected on your KPI document which will be updated at a minimum every financial year for you by your Account Director.
  • Other reasonable duties as directed.


  • Maintain and update opportunity activities in Salesforce on a daily basis
  • Maintain and keep accurate logs on Salesforce of all email communication with customers
  • Maintain and keep accurate records of customer contact details for each client.

Maintain associated contract records in Salesforce

Experience / Knowledge

  • Experience in a similar sales/account management role.
  • Proven success in outbound sales of telephony and data solutions into the SMB, SME and Corporate sector.
  • Knowledge and experience in Telecommunications, including data and voice services


  • Demonstrated ability to achieve targets.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to learn and understand the company’s product suite.
  • High degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships, both internal and external
  • Ability to handle and schedule a demanding workload to meet customer requirements.
  • Strong computer skills.

Education & Qualifications

  • Tertiary Qualifications in a relevant field (Desirable)
