Our Markets Sales team is seeking a seasoned financial markets professional with 5+ years’ experience in providing Interest Rate Risk Management solutions to SME Business and Specialised customers using a variety of financial markets tools. Based in the Sydney or Regional NSW the role with work with high value customers in Regional NSW.

Requiring AFMA qualifications, FAR accreditation is desired but not essential. Combining these qualifications will be a passion for markets and proven sales experience.

The Business Markets team works within NAB Financial Markets group and forms part of Corporate & Institutional Banking. We specialise in providing risk management solutions to SME businesses and individuals and offer a range of interest rate, foreign exchange and commodity products that are tailored to meet a client's specific requirements.

About the role

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an Associate Director position to join the Business Markets NSW team. Working in a dynamic and high performing team you will be responsible for identifying new opportunities and working with clients to manage Interest Rate Risk through the identification of opportunities and relationships. Working closely with our Business Banking Relationship Managers to identify opportunities within the existing lending book and developing a funnel of new opportunities will be key to success in the role.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Identify & pursue new business opportunities either through your network or referrals from stakeholders (NAB Relationship Managers, Specialist Partners, Digital Leads)
  • Promote growth of client franchise through innovative and effective marketing methods and deliver new products to new and existing customers that maximise customer satisfaction and idea generation.
  • Educate an awareness of NAB’s Interest Rate Risk Management capability to key stakeholders
  • Build on existing Banking relationships, by developing a deep understanding of a client’s business model & Interest Rate Risks.
  • An in-depth knowledge of products, focused on value to the customer through sales and service, timely and competitive pricing

About you

As the successful applicant you’ll be a sales oriented self-starter with at least 5+ years’ experience gained in Financial Advice (incl. Financial Planning) with demonstrable knowledge of risk management solutions. You’ll bring exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to interact with customers as well as key stakeholders across the organisation. Tertiary qualifications should include a finance based degree and AFMA accreditation. Accreditation on the Financial Advisor Register (FAR) will be highly regarded although not essential as would any previous experience in business development.
