Based in our Brisbaneoffice,thesuccessful candidate will have the opportunity to work within Mobility of theSiemens business that has immense market potential.

The Signalling Tester in Chargeplans, coordinates and supervises all Site Test and Commissioningactivities during the Commissioning and Testing phases. The Tester in Charge ensuresthat Test and Commissioning activities are executed within the requested time,cost, quality and without disruption.

Main Tasks :

• Plan, monitor, anddirect all office and trackside signalling testing activities against projectprogram and key deliverable milestones.

• Assess and recordcompetence of each tester against all allocated tasks.

• Produce, approve,and audit Testing & Commissioning Plans and Testing Records.

• Manage a suitableTest Log/error reporting system.

• Complete/manageprocess for disconnection of existing signalling systems.

• Review of the Testand Commissioning strategy and preparation of Test and Commission planning (inconsultation with the project manager and Head of T&C).

• Risk analysis forTesting and Commissioning, and definition of appropriate measures.

• Preparation ofmodification, commissioning and acceptance concepts.

• Coordination ofTest and Commissioning activities on and off site; The Tester in Charge rolewill be managing the Projects within Queensland and possible support for otherProjects in AU.

• Mentoring of Testand Commissioning staff.


• Ideally anengineering degree -electrical- or similar.

• IdeallyRPEQ,IRSE Licensed as Tester in Charge 1.3.190 orQLD Statement of Competency.

• At least5years in the area of Rail Systems Integration, Testing and Commissioning;ideally as Tester in Charge.

• Extensiveexperience in rail systems Test & Commissioning.

• Railway systems,railway operations and commissioning rules and standards.

• Work Experience onEuropean Train Control Systems (ETCS) is preferable.

• Rails systemsonsite test and commissioning techniques and practices.

• Experience withrelevant engineering processes and standards.
