Bluestone Mines Tasmania Joint Venture Pty Ltd, is Australia’s largest Tin producer. Bluestone is a well-established, high yield tin mine now entering an exciting redevelopment period. The Renison mine is located on Tasmania’s beautiful West Coast between the towns of Zeehan and Rosebery.

About the mine

It is an exciting time at the Renison underground mine which has recently announced its Life of Mine plan outlining a strong resource plan for the next 10 years. Renison is embarking on a progressive improvement journey to challenge the way we work and optimise our operations.

About the role

We are looking for an organised, efficient and experienced Accounts Payable Officer with an eye for detail and a high level of accuracy to join our friendly & inclusive team on a 5 days on 2 days off roster. Option of a 9 day fortnight arrangement via flexible RDO.

The position will be reporting to the Finance Superintendent and be responsible for all financial and administrative support relating to processing invoices received for payment and handling communications with external vendors and internal departments.

Core responsibilities

• Ensuring all invoices and payments are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Follow up any invoice disputes to achieve positive outcomes.
• Maintain high standard relationships with external vendors and internal departments.
• Set up new suppliers
• Ensure all payments are authorised by the appropriate personnel and payments are accurate when entered in Pronto.
• Send remittance advices.
• Perform monthly supplier reconciliation and liaise both internally and externally.
• Maintain up-to-date vendor information.
• Deliver accurate and timely month-end processes in accordance with company standards.
• Relief payroll backup

About you

You should be professional and courteous with strong computer skills and a thorough understanding of accounting and financial principles.

To be successful in this role you will have an excellent work ethic, good communication skills with a team-oriented attitude and the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a large team in a fast-paced Environment.

The successful applicant will also be subject to a National Police Record Check.
