Working as the Office Manager for a leading building surveying firm based in Southern Tasmania.


Your new company
Exciting opportunity for an experienced Office Manager to join the team of a well-respected Hobart Building Surveying firm.

Your new role
As the Office Manager your core responsibility will be to support the Directors but also manage and develop all administration functions within the office. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to;

  • Assist staff with queries
  • Generate reports on project, proposal as required by directors,
  • Assist with OHS and QA procedures
  • Human Resource Management such as onboarding, professional development
  • Coordinate staff leave management, reviews, PDs etc
  • Provide support to the Accountant with Creditor invoices etc
  • Compile and co-ordinate board papers for meetings
  • Any other ad-hoc administration duties as required

What you'll need to succeed
As the successful candidate, you’ll have demonstrated experience in office Management or similar role, excellent communication skills (Both written and verbal), and a proven track record working in a varied busy environment where you have developed the ability to work well under pressure. You’ll also have the following;
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel and Word.
  • Proactive nature, with high level of initiative and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to change and prioritise competing demands
  • Resilient nature
  • Friendly, can do attitude where you are happy to complete any task need to get the job done.
  • Be a team player but also have the ability to work independently
