JOB DESCRIPTION
At Randstad, we Partner with Queensland’s leading Civil and Construction companies. Our projects span from Iconic New Builds & renovations, extensions and lifts on heritage-listed and character homes to asset management services for Councils
Due to increased projects, our clients are looking for experienced Carpenters and Hammer Hands to join their busy teams on various Projects around the Sunshine Coast
Short term, and long term projects to suit your availability
Duties
- Working on all aspects of Carpentry and shopfitting for retail and Commercial projects
- Helping with safe site setup for your crew and the public
- Working as part of a cohesive team to deliver to projects
- Optimising the use of company resources and contributing to the successful completion of contracts
- Ensuring efficient use of materials, supplies and equipment
- Work includes but not limited too:
- Shopfitting
- New Builds - Construct the wooden structure for a building (walls, floors, and doorframes)
- Using various hand tools
- Renovations
- Extensions
- Read blueprints as well as taking direction from verbal and written descriptions.
- General framing
- Build staircases
- Etc...
- Attend to administrative duties and record keeping associated with tasks, including management of maintenance tasks
Requirements
- Trade Qualifications (Carpenter) Preferred. Also consider experienced Trades assistants in the Building space, or overseas qualified carpenters, as well as general hammer hands.
- Reliable transport
- Own tools advantageous
- Recent experience on Commercial and Residential projects
- Focus on safety
- Able to pass drug and alcohol testing
- Can provide references relating to recent, similar experience
