Your Opportunity

Chigwell House in Tasmania is on the lookout for a Community Program Support Officer to join the People Staying Connected Program to provide opportunities that positively impact members of the local community in the areas of parenting, health and wellbeing, engagement, socialisation and skill development.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Plan and implement activities, courses and/or events both onsite and external as part of a team including; funding, catering and transport where appropriate
  • Coordinate community garden group including planting, maintaining and harvesting produce, sourcing and overseeing volunteer
  • Deliver Learners License Assistance Program
  • Assist with planning, promoting and implementing community lunches as part of a team
  • Provide assistance to all Chigwell House programs as needed
  • Assist community members and stakeholders as first point of contact

Requirements for Success

  • Diploma in Social Welfare/Community Services (or higher) or relevant industry experience
  • First aid certificate
  • Driver’s license
  • Ability to manage a range of tasks including those which fall outside of case management in order to provide the support required for participants within the service
  • Administration experience

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
