We currently have a permanent and full time opportunity for a trade qualified Service Plumber to join Hindmarsh Plumbing as a Service Coordinator. Reporting to the Service Manager, key responsibilities of the role will include (but not limited to);

  • Providing client quotes and estimates
  • Delivering supervision, ownership and leadership on each allocated job to achieve required performance targets within established time and quality restraints
  • Ensure the QHSE management system is implemented on every job including the completion of permits and checklists as required
  • Write material lists
  • Supervise team and their work outputs against set Key Performance Indicators and that plumbers carry out tasks to comply with company policy
  • Liaise with HR and the Service Manager early when performance management issues arise, or personnel issues exist
  • Prepare tender/contract documentation as required
  • Ensure stock control is managed in consultation with Procurement Manager and Service Manager
  • Manage jobs to completion and attend site handovers as required

About you

To be successful in this role, you will be reliable, hard-working and flexible. You will possess the following experience, skills and qualifications:

  • An understanding of QHSE systems ensuring it is implemented on every job including the completion of permits and checklists as well as the development of JSEA’s
  • An all-round knowledge of plumbing and use of materials
  • Prior experience supervising, training and directing Plumbers & Apprentices
  • Ability in quoting for maintenance and minor works plumbing jobs and demonstrated customer service skills
  • Ability to forward plan labour requirements and communicate to the Service Manager and admin staff
  • A current South Australian Drivers Licence, Plumbers and Gas Fitters (PGE) License, a Backflow Licence and Restricted electrical
  • White Card

Key requirements:

  • Verification of qualifications/licenses will be undertaken along with pre-employment medicals and background police checks for the successful candidate
  • The right to work in Australia
