About the Opportunity

To support our continued growth, we are searching for a 

Heavy Duty Mobile Plant Fitter

 to join the team in Tanami, on a fixed term contract basis, 2:1 FIFO roster ex-Darwin, Perth or Brisbane.

Key Accountabilities

  • Servicing, maintenance and repairs conducted to OEM specifications
  • Daily fuelling and machinery checks
  • High quality reports and record keeping as per Valmec Australia’s requirements
  • Thorough on/off hire inspection reports
  • Implement preventative maintenance strategies

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • Australian recognised Trade certificate as a Heavy Duty Mobile Plant Mechanic or similar
  • Current Australian HR Drivers licence
  • White card
  • Working at Heights 
  • HRWL (DG, RB, RI, or RA) desirable
  • Air conditioning license desirable (Refrigerant Handling)
  • Min 5 years in similar role in the Construction and/or Energy industry
  • Experience on Civil Earthmoving/Mining and associated Plant
  • Experience working with Cat, Hitachi, Volvo machinery and other onsite vehicles including Toyota and Hino
  • Ability to communicate with all parties
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Ability to prioritise and plan
