WHO WE ARE:

Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES) is a volunteer based emergency service. Our highly skilled and equipped Volunteers are trained comprehensively in a wide range of emergency environments. To minimise the impact of emergencies when they occur and strengthen the community's capacity to recover swiftly and safely, VICSES focuses on working with communities and partners in building resilience to achieve more aware, informed and prepared communities. We support them to understand their risk and the relevance of taking action before, during and after emergency events.

As the largest road rescue network in Australia we have specialist teams that provide a 24/7 response to road accident and trauma incidents. We assist Victoria Police in search and rescue operations, and play an important role in supporting the Country Fire Authority (CFA), Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV), Parks Victoria and the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) during major bushfire and emergency incidents.

ROLE SUMMARY:

The purpose of this role is to provide project coordination support and logistical support to the Fleet team for the implementation of the Twin Cab Upgrade Program (TCUP) and other on-going Fleet projects.

This role may require some travel within the State. Travel to some locations and/or duties may necessitate an overnight stay.

The position being offered is a VPS 3.1, Full Time, Fixed Term, Up to 20 August 2021. During this time, VICSES are anticipating a reorganisation which could impact and change this position.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Undertake a broad range of administrative tasks to support the effective.

Contribute to the roll-out of the projects actions and facilitate aspects of implementation as assigned.

Develop and record the documented project activities and progress.

Assist with monitoring the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project.

Co-ordinate the documentation, security and dissemination of project information and ensure high level document management.

Proactively work to ensure strong communication is maintained with all key stakeholders and ensure the project remains on track.

Engage with Unit Controllers and Suppliers to arrange vehicle movement, lead and manage logistical support and provide project updates.

Provide regular project updates to the Fleet Team and escalate any issues to the Fleet Manager.

In consultation with the Fleet Manager, assist in managing the change process, ensuring stakeholder's input is considered when preparing communications.

Ensure optimal management and utilisation of human, physical and financial resources allocated to the assigned project.

Support the Fleet team in coordinating other projects and business as usual activities.
