JOB DESCRIPTION
This world renowned rail organisation is currently responsible for delivering a huge scope of work on Sydney Metro. They are responsible for delivering the train, CBTC signalling systems, radio, cctv, central control systems and platform screen door packages on the city and south west sections of Sydney Metro. The city and south west sections run from Chatswood through to the new CBD stations and ultimately terminate at Bankstown.
The Testing and Commissioning Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the entire scope of work is tested thoroughly, that all systems integrate effectively and that the project is commissioned on time and to budget. This will be no mean feat given the complex interfaces on this project. They will need to interface with inhouse contractors, the client and also external contractors who will be delivering the stations.
The T and C Manager will have a strong technical understanding of driverless signalling systems (ETCS/CBTC etc.) They will understand the technical requirements of all the relevant systems on the project eg: radio, signalling ec.. and how to intregrate them effectively. They will be a strong leader and will be supported by a T and C team who will assist in managing the interfaces but also the testing and commissioning requirements for each package.
