The role of the Quality Coordinator is to coordinate and undertake a range of functions and services which support the leadership and senior clinical roles within the Clinical Programs (CP) to manage the Safety and Quality plan for the clinical program. The Quality Coordinator will work within the CP, and will be responsible for coordinating the:

• Management of the Safety Learning System, adverse incidents, and associated reporting of incidents
• Quality Management Committee papers
• Collation of Mortality Review meeting reports,
• Central Clinical Audit program as it relates to the CP
• Timely review of relevant organisation wide instructions
• collation, analysis and reporting on key performance indicators

The role is responsible for provision of quality data for the CP, maintenance of the CP Risk, recommendation and Quality Improvement Registers, and supporting accreditation readiness of the CP. The role is accountable to the Clinical Program Manager with an indirect report line to the Director Safety and Quality through the Manager Accreditation.

RN-2A Provide nursing and/or midwifery services in a variety of health service settings which has been consolidated by experience and/or further study with staff at this level developing from competent to proficient practitioners. Accepts accountability for their own practice standards, activities delegated to others and the guidance and development of less experienced staff. Provide support to the Nursing/Midwifery Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager or equivalent in the leadership of nurses/midwives in the ward/unit/service.
